M. Madan Babu, PhD, has been appointed the inaugural chief data scientist of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Rami Nelson, DNP, MSN, RN, was named chief quality and health equity officer of Hammond, La.-based North Oaks Health System.

Amy Crouch has been named CFO of Noblesville, Ind.-based Riverview Health.

NYC Health + Hospitals has selected Eric Wei, MD, to serve as the next CEO of the health system's historic Bellevue Hospital in New York City. His appointment is effective Jan. 6, when William Hicks steps down after 11 years in the role. 

Marietta, Ga.-based Wellstar Health System has named Alicia Spratt assistant vice president of revenue cycle operations, according to a post on her LinkedIn page. 

The Detroit Medical Center has named Tara Vafadari group CFO. 

Giancarlo Lyle-Edrosolo, DNP, RN, is joining Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, N.C., as market chief nurse executive.

Dave MacIntyre, DO, is now the chief medical officer of HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital in Ocala, the organization said Sept. 30.

A Challenger, Gray & Christmas report published Sept. 26 showed that 12 hospital CEOs left their roles in August, down from 16 reported in the same month last year. Those exits spanned the U.S., according to data provided to Becker's by the executive coaching firm.

Becker's has reported on multiple CEO moves at California-based hospitals and health systems in September, including resignations and new appointments.

Sam Itani was named CEO of Shasta Regional Medical Center, a 226-bed facility in Redding, Calif.
