West Virginia health system taps CEO

Mathew Weimer, MD, has been named president and CEO of Huntington, W.Va.-based Valley Health Systems after serving in the role on an interim basis.

He succeeds Steve Shattls, who was previously placed on administrative leave and had been with Valley Health nearly since its inception in 1975.
