Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is committing $25 million to aid local providers in their efforts to eliminate racial and ethnicity-based healthcare inequities — the latest move since the company announced in February it would work to combat inequities. 

A local artist in Marinette, Wis., has donated five sculptures to the Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area to honor the contributions of a former hospital executive and his late wife, The Eagle Herald reported Nov. 28.

NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in New York City received a $166 million donation from the Bezos family to address social determinants of health and improve health equity in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn.

CVS Health is investing $7.7 million into an affordable housing project in Tampa, Fla., the company announced Nov. 22.

New Brunswick, N.J.-based Children's Specialized Hospital hopes to raise $45 million from donors in its Transforming Lives 2.0 campaign, led by Major League Baseball player and Toms River, N.J., native Todd Frazier and his wife, Jackie, who are serving as honorary campaign chairs.

The Goizueta Foundation gave a $50 million grant to Atlanta-based Emory University to create the Goizueta Institute @Emory Brain Health, an initiative that began in May as the Emory Brain Health Personalized Medicine Institute.
