15 Latest Hospital Expansions in Imaging, Neuroscience and Other Specialties

Here are 15 expansions in imaging, neuroscience, pediatrics and other specialties hospitals and health systems announced in the past two months, beginning with the most recent announcement.

1. Singing River Health System in Pascagoula, Miss., opened its $5.7 million Neuroscience Center at Ocean Springs (Miss.) Medical Park.

2. Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, part of Baltimore-based LifeBridge Health, opened its new $7.7 million Louis and Phyllis Friedman Neurological Rehabilitation Center.

3. Norwalk (Conn.) Hospital opened its new Comprehensive Joint Replacement Center.

4. Hattiesburg, Miss.-based Forrest Health opened its new Orthopedic Institute in Hattiesburg.

5. The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children's Hospital, both in Little Rock, opened the new Centers for Children in Jonesboro, Ark.

6. Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora opened its new 355,000-square-foot East Tower.

7. Oklahoma City-based Oklahoma University Medicine announced OU Children's Physicians opened a new clinic promoting childhood fitness and healthy eating habits.

8. Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, N.J., an affiliate member of Robert Wood Johnson Health System in New Brunswick, N.J., announced the opening of a new pediatric outpatient center in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.

9. Columbia St. Mary's in Milwaukee, part of St. Louis-based Ascension Health, opened the new Multiple Sclerosis Clinic in its Orthopaedic & Neuroscience Institute at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Milwaukee.

10. Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health opened the clinical building of its new IU Health Neuroscience Center.

11. Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston created a new Digestive Disease Center offering gastrointestinal and hepatology treatment.

12. Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn., opened its diagnostic/imaging center.

13. Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City, Mo., opened its new Elizabeth J. Ferrell Fetal Health Center.

14. St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia opened the first pediatric urgent care center in the Greater Philadelphia Region.

15. Florida Hospital for Children in Orlando opened the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center.
