St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia announced the opening of the first pediatric urgent care center in the Greater Philadelphia Region.
The center, located in Jenkintown, Pa., will treat patients from birth to 18 years of age for non-life threatening situations, such as common colds, viruses, skin irritations and ear infections.
The facility is designed to provide convenient access to pediatric care after business hours; the center will be open weekdays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., times when most physicians' offices are closed, according to the report.
