Dallas-based UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children's Health have received a $25 million gift from the Hamon Charitable Foundation to support the development of a $5 billion pediatric health campus, which the two institutions plan to open within six to seven years. 

Norton Healthcare is opening a $90M hospital in West Louisville, Ky., this fall, the health system said Sept. 5. 

Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, has opened a $14M freestanding emergency room in Las Vegas.

A $15 million donation will fund a new education and conference center at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.

UCSF Health's newest facility in San Francisco opens Aug. 27 and will offer adult urgent care, primary care, same-day surgery and specialty care.

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is embarking on a $100 million expansion that will increase its total licensed bed count to 216, up from its current 163 beds.

Mayo Clinic is nearing completion of its $215 million, six-story hospital in La Crosse, Wis., hospital that is expected to welcome its first patients in September.  

Sutter Health plans to build a four-story, 165,000-square-foot cancer center in collaboration with Gould Medical Group physicians on the health system's Memorial Medical Center campus in Modesto, Calif.

Columbus-based OhioHealth is spending $17.2 million to improve the surgical facilities at OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital, which performed more than 3,000 surgeries last year. 

Traverse City, Mich.-based Munson Healthcare has added two new ASCs to its network, representing a $30 million investment. 

Phoenix Children's opened a $195 million hospital at its Arrowhead campus in Glendale, Ariz., Aug. 7. 

Kettering (Ohio) Health has received pushback from the city of Xenia, Ohio, after sharing plans to replace its Greene Memorial Hospital and invest $44 million into a new facility — Kettering Health Xenia.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has plans to close its Atlanta-based Egleston Hospital and transition patients and services to its new $1.5 billion Arthur M. Blank Hospital, also in Atlanta, on Sept. 29.
