Glendive (Mont.) Medical Center as released information on what its proposed affiliation with Billings (Mont.) Clinic would mean for stakeholders.
Last year, GMC signed a nonbinding letter of intent to "explore collaboration" with Billings Clinic. Since then, the 25-bed critical access hospital has undergone due diligence.
Within GMC's summary of findings, the hospital clarified that the current proposed affiliation with Billings Clinic would not result in job loss, nor the sale or transfer of ownership. Instead, the affiliation would aid physician recruitment, clinical integration, health information technology and other features. In addition, there would be a management agreement in which the GMC CEO would become an employee of Billings Clinic.
The hospital also laid out future considerations with Billings Clinic, such as a name change for branding and a full merger.
