1. University of Colorado Health, Memorial Health Lease Agreement Receives AG Approval
Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Memorial Health System's proposed lease of its Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs to University of Colorado Health was approved by Colorado Attorney General John Suthers.
2. SCL Health System, Community First Foundation Agree to Governance Changes of Exempla Healthcare
Denver-based Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System agreed to pay Arvada, Colo.-based Community First Foundation approximately $275 million over the next 20 years as part of governance changes for Denver-based Exempla Healthcare, a non-profit healthcare system that includes three hospitals and a physician network of more than 100 clinics.
3. Huggins, Wentworth-Douglass Hospitals in New Hampshire to Collaborate
Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, N.H., and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, N.H., approved a collaboration proposal to improve quality, coordination and efficiency of care.
4. Steward Gets More Time to Close Landmark Medical Center Deal
Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Kilmartin gave Boston-based Steward Health Care more time to close its acquisition of Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, R.I. The new deadline is Aug. 31.
5. Charlevoix Area Hospital Affiliates With Munson Healthcare in Michigan
Charlevoix (Mich.) Area Hospital signed a regional affiliation agreement with Traverse City, Mich.-based Munson Healthcare, expanding its relationship to provide access to Munson services and consulting.
6. Court Approves Sale of Bankrupt Medical Park Hospital to IASIS
The bankrupt Medical Park Hospital in Hope, Ark., now has a new owner, as the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Arkansas approved its sale to Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas, and its parent company, Franklin, Tenn.-based IASIS Healthcare.
