Thirty employees have been laid off from Chester, Pa.-based Crozer-Keystone Health System as part of the organization's strategy to trim its workforce by 325, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report.
Of those 30, 22 were managers and eight were staff members. Another 99 vacant positions were eliminated, and 216 people — representing 196 full-time equivalents — accepted a buyout offer.
Yesterday was the deadline for employees to accept an early retirement package. The system had about 7,000 employees before the workforce reduction.
