Belmond (Iowa) Medical Center and Wright Medical Center in Clarion, Iowa, have changed their names to Iowa Specialty Hospital, according to a Globe Gazette report.
Belmond Medical Center will become Iowa Specialty Hospital-Belmond, and Wright Medical Center will adopt Iowa Specialty Hospital-Clarion. The changes, which were implemented to reflect the hospitals' efforts to provide more specialized care, went into effect yesterday.
The hospitals are affiliated with Iowa City-based University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
