Children's Hospital Boston is making a small change to its name, rearranging the words to become Boston Children's Hospital, according to a Boston Globe report.
The revised name is what most people call the hospital anyway, according to the hospital's chief of marketing and communications, Margaret Coughlin. "Boston" at the forefront of the name also reflects the hospital's link to the city, she said.
The hospital will roll out the new name slowly in business materials. For instance, it will replace signs with the new name only when old signs physically need replacement. "We’re not going to be running around slapping new signs on things, because that's just irresponsible in this cost control era," Ms. Coughlin said in the report.
