Google looks to break into virtual care with new partnership

Google is continuing its expansion into virtual care as it makes virtual care platform Pager available on Google Cloud Marketplace.

The partnership builds off of an April collaboration between the two companies. Pager users with Google Cloud accounts will now be able to enjoy consolidated billing, according to a July 24 news release.

Pager's customers will also be able to access Google Cloud tools such as artificial intelligence and data analytics.

"Launching on Google Cloud Marketplace dramatically facilitates the procurement of our industry-leading care navigation and coordination platform," Pager CEO and chair Walter Jin, said in the release. "By expanding our strategic partnership with Google, payer and healthcare system customers who are Google Cloud Partners can now purchase Pager's embedded, connected care experience in just minutes. That's a time-saving benefit for any health enterprise that wants to offer a personalized, real-time healthcare experience that engages, guides and connects its members and patients with the right care."
