Teladoc reported record growth Monday, noting its services expanded more than 100 percent in the hospital and health system market in 2017.
The company now supports more than 200 hospital and health systems, more than doubling its total in 2017. Some of the newest organizations to partner with Teladoc this year include New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System; Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health; Des Moines, Iowa-based Mercy Health Network; Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health; York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health; and Orlando (Fla.) Health.
"Hospitals and health systems are under tremendous operating pressures, particularly as the industry shifts more toward value-based care and they seek to meet the care needs of new populations," said Alan Roga, MD, president of the health system market for Teladoc. "A significant strength and advantage of the Teladoc solution is that it is tailored specifically to support health systems as they expand and innovate their approach to care delivery."
