Hospitals and health systems continue to strike artificial intelligence deals and other IT partnerships with Big Tech. Here are seven collaborations Becker's reported on in the past month.

1. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health has partnered with Google to "improve our speed and velocity," the health system's top IT executive told Becker's for an Aug. 16 story.

2. Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine said Aug. 15 it plans to deploy generative AI-powered clinical documentation from Microsoft's Nuance across the health system and its Epic EHR.

3. Microsoft said Aug. 15 it is partnering with health systems to develop an AI tool to streamline nursing documentation, including Charlotte, N.C.-based Advocate Health, Jacksonville-based Baptist Health, Durham, N.C.-based Duke Health, Denver-based Intermountain Health Saint Joseph Hospital, St. Louis-based Mercy, Northwestern Medicine, New York City-based NYU Langone Health, Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care, and Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital.

4. Amazon is collaborating with health systems such as Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care, Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham and New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System to investigate how AI can improve patient experiences and outcomes, the tech company said Aug. 7.

5. Microsoft said July 30 that sales of its DAX Copilot from Nuance have taken off as health systems have embraced AI for clinical documentation, citing deals with Indianapolis-based Community Health Network, Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health, Northwestern Medicine, and Columbus-based Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

6. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare is using Google's AI-powered nurse handoff tool, which is gaining positive traction from its workforce, Bloomberg reported July 30.
