Tampa General Hospital to offer remote monitoring for patients with chronic conditions

Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital has partnered with digital health connectivity company Stel Life to conduct a remote patient monitoring project focused on patients with primary chronic conditions.

The health system is using Stel's Vitals Hub technology, which can integrate with health monitoring devices such as blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeters and scales and can connect them to a patient's electronic health records, according to a Dec. 19 press release from Tampa General.

The project will monitor patients with conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure and heart disease. The aim is to support chronically ill patients from their homes.
