An artificial intelligence company spun out of Columbus, Ohio-based Nationwide Children's Hospital was acquired by Paradigm, a clinical trial startup that emerged from stealth mode Jan. 27 with $203 million in funding, Columbus Inno reported.
Paradigm bought Deep Lens, the AI spinoff that uses genomics and EHR data to find oncology patients for clinical trials, as part of its launch.
Venture capital firms General Catalyst and Arch Venture Partners co-led the financing round, which also featured the American Cancer Society's BrightEdge fund. General Catalyst's Stephen Klasko, MD, a former health system leader, was named to Paradigm's board.
