Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System will provide cancer care at home, giving patients 24/7 access to oncology nurses and advanced practitioners by video, phone or text and in-person support when appropriate.
The health system will partner with cancer-care-at-home platform Reimagine Care on the program. According to a 2023 survey by the company, 82 percent of cancer patients want to receive care at home and more than 90 percent want on-demand access to an oncology access.
"Patients who choose Memorial Hermann now have access to comprehensive care, state-of-the-art services, and the best available treatment," said Sandy Miller, vice president of Memorial Hermann's oncology service line, in a July 25 news release. "Partnering with Reimagine Care extends the impact of our program into the home and furthers our commitment to providing the care patients need in a way that is designed to fit their lives."
