Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic plans to spend an estimated $1.86 million to renovate a building that will house its new Unbound team focused on digital transformation, the Post Bulletin reported.
Mayo Clinic filed a building permit for the downtown Rochester project Dec. 29, according to the Jan. 6. story. The health system provided few details to the newspaper about Unbound other than it's part of Mayo's Bold. Forward. project that aims to use data and artificial intelligence to personalize diagnosis and treatment.
"We're in the early stages of long-term planning. We're building some space for a team to examine the intersection of physical space and digital capabilities that will transform healthcare," a Mayo spokesperson told the news outlet.
