GV, formerly Google Ventures, co-led a $16.75 million series A funding round for Caraway, a company offering digital mental, reproductive and physical health services for Generation Z patients.
Additionally, the company is rolling out its virtual care in six more states, bringing its total active states to 10. Caraway users can reach a clinician 24/7 through chat, phone or video visits, according to a June 20 Caraway news release.
The company will use the new funding to expand its platform.
"Gen Z's health is on the front lines and the only way to meet their needs is to design a new way forward," Caraway CEO and co-founder Lori Evans Bernstein, said in the release. "With the tsunami of unmet need, our inclusive care platform gives Gen Z – and in particular women and those assigned female at birth who have been underserved by traditional models – instant access to both the immediate health services and ongoing education they need to take care of themselves today and in the future."
