Google leads $30M funding round for startup that automates calls between providers, payers

GV, Google's venture capital arm, led a $30 million Series B funding round for Infinitus Systems, which automates phone calls from healthcare providers to payers.

Three things to know:

  1. Infinitus Systems helps healthcare providers automate calls to payers to save time spent waiting on hold and providing repetitive information, according to a Nov. 10 news release.

"Forty to 50 percent of the 3.2 billion phone calls in healthcare are spent waiting on hold and then asking for repetitive information. This is an inefficient process that adds unnecessary time and costs into the healthcare system and is so frustrating for people making those calls," said Karen Holop, product lead at Infinitus.

  2. The funding will be used to hire talent, scale operations to meet growing customer demand, invest in sales and marketing, and accelerate delivery of products.

  3. Krishna Yeshwant, MD, managing director at GV, will join Infinitus' board of directors, according to the release. Aaron Weiner, managing director at investment management company Coatue, will also be joining the board.
