Arch Venture Partners specializes in backing early-stage medtech companies; while the firm has been active since 1986, recently, they have been making some major investments.
Four investments form Arch Venture Becker's has covered since Sept. 13:
- Arch Venture co-led the $18 million series A funding round for Protillion Biosciences. The company works to optimize and identify new protein therapeutics, according to a Dec. 19 Protillion news release.
- Arch led the $75 million series C financing round for Synchron, a brain-computer interface company. Bezos Expeditions, the investment firm of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and Gates Frontier, Microsoft founder Bill Gates' investment fund, joined in the round.
- Arch and General Catalyst co-led a $32 million seed funding round for Rippl, a mental health tech company focused on the needs of older patients.
- Arch co-led a $72.5 million series A funding round for Pretzel Therapeutics, a company that uses mitochondrial biology to treat disease.
