Flint, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care's purchase of Cheboygan (Mich.) Memorial Hospital has officially closed, according to a Petoskey News Review report.
The sale was finalized Wednesday, May 2, after McLaren Health and CMS reached an administrative understanding, and the U.S. bankruptcy court removed all impediments to the sale.
As part of the sale, Cheboygan Memorial's name will change to McLaren-Northern Michigan, Cheboygan Campus. It will be a part of McLaren's Northern Michigan Regional Health System in Petoskey.
According to the report, emergency services are expected to re-open the week of May 14, and surgical services should re-open the week of May 29.
