Greenville (S.C.) Health System and Laurens County Health Care System in Clinton, S.C., have been working on a long-term lease agreement, and a deal could be finalized as early as this July, according to a Clinton Chronicle report.
Under the lease agreement, Greenville would manage LCHCS, but LCHCS would still operate independently with full fiduciary authority, according to the report. Hospital officials hope a definitive agreement can be signed by Oct. 1, when the new fiscal year starts for both providers.
Greenville and LCHCS have been in exclusive affiliation negotiations since this past September.
