Walker County, Ga., has resubmitted a revised proposal for partnership with Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.-based Hutcheson Medical Center to Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tenn., according to a Chattanooga Times Free Press report.
First, a transition team including members of Hutcheson Medical's boards revised the proposal, and later commissioners from the three counties Hutcheson serves — Catoosa, Dade and Walker — added their edits. The revisions aimed to provide better protection for taxpayer money and Hutcheson's assets while guaranteeing to repay Erlanger for a $20 million investment.
