CEO, CFO of Georgia's Hutcheson Medical Center Step Down

Charles Stewart has resigned from his post as CEO of Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., according to a Chattanooga Times Free Press report.

Gerald Faircloth, hospital's VP of operations and interim CFO, also resigned. Both resignations are effective immediately. Debbie Reeves, HMC's chief nursing officer, will serve as interim CEO. Community Hospital Corporation in Plano, Texas, will provide management support while the hospital undergoes a leadership transition period.

The 300-bed community hospital has lost money in four of the past five years, according to the report. In recent months, the hospital has averaged approximately 30 to 40 patients per day.
