Tri-State Cardiology is joining the Wellmont CVA Heart Institute, part of Kingsport, Tenn.-based Wellmont Health System, effective Oct. 24, according to a health system news release.
The cardiology practice will add five cardiologists, one nurse practitioner and 35 staff members to the heart institute's 36 physicians, 20 physician's assistants and nurse practitioners and more than 250 staff members.
As part of the merger, Wellmont CVA Heart Institute will move its Johnson City office to Tri-State's building in Johnson City to offer a total of 11 offices in Tennessee and Virginia.
