Camden, N.J.-based Lourdes Health System has acquired Associated Cardiovascular Consultants, one of the largest private cardiology groups in South Jersey, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report.
The 31-physician practice began considering a sale two years ago due to changes in reimbursement and other regulations that encourage practices to join larger systems, according to the report.
Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed. The practice will keep its relationships with other hospitals as part of the deal, according to the report.
