The number of urgent care clinics within retail outlets, including discount retailers and pharmacies grew more than 10 percent during 2011, according to the ConvUrgentCare Report, 2011 Year in Review.
The number of retail clinics operating in the United States as of Jan. 1, 2012, reached 1,355, an increased of 128 locations since Jan. 1, 2011.
CVS' MinuteClinic had the most locations, with 549, followed by Walgreens' TakeCare Clinic (255) and Walmart clinics (154), according to the report.
