Blue Hill Memorial in Maine Offers Buyouts to Lessen Layoffs

Blue Hill (Maine) Memorial Hospital is offering a "voluntary separation incentive plan" intended to reduce layoffs at the 323-employee hospital, according to a Bangor Daily News report.

Any hospital employee can apply for the buyout, but hospital administrators will approve final recipients. Administrators have not established a number of how many employees they're looking to buy out or how much money they're hoping the program will save, according to the report.
