After 27 years, CEO Martin Bernstein has retired from 49-bed Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent, effective immediately, according to a Bangor Daily News report.
COO Peter Sirois will serve as interim CEO.
Mr. Bernstein's retirement follows his February announcement of a leadership reorganization, in which four administrative positions were cut and administrators' pay was cut by 2 percent.
