NY's Hudson Valley Hospital Unveils $12M Cancer Center

Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., has opened a $12 million Comprehensive Cancer Center, according to a hospital news release.

The 54,000-square-foot center consolidates cancer services into one location and will initially treat breast, prostate, melanoma, colorectal and lung cancers. The center will offer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, reconstructive surgery, counseling and support services, a breast cancer boutique, early detection screening and an RN patient navigator. The center will also house physician offices for cardiology, orthopedics and a new Digestive Disease Center.

Construction of the cancer center is part of HVHC's initiative to transform the hospital from a local community hospital to a medical center for the region. Previous projects include a $100 million renovation and expansion of a patient tower and an addition of a new surgery center and garage.
