Louisville, Ky.-based KentuckyOne Health announced that it will build a $5 million hybrid operating room and resuscitation center at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
The resuscitation center will be the first one in Kentucky and will allow for use of new treatments such as a therapeutic hypothermia treatment for patients who have suffered a heart attack. The hybrid OR will provide more space for performing new procedures such as the transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
The construction is made possible by grants of more than $18 million from the Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Foundation.
