Workers represented by the Service Employees International Union have approved a three-year contract with Tenet Healthcare Corp. for nine California hospitals, according to a San Francisco Business Times report.
The deal gives SEIU workers, including nurse assistants, respiratory therapists and ER technicians, a pay increase of 18 percent over the three years and preserves health benefits.
The nine hospitals included under the contract are San Ramon (Calif.) Regional Medical Center, Los Alamitos (Calif.) Medical Center, Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, Doctors Hospital of Manteca (Calif.), Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio, Lakewood (Calif.) Regional Medical Center, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton.
Tenet and SEIU reached a tentative agreement on the contract in late May.
