New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System named Lisa Stump chief digital information officer and dean for IT of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Ms. Stump has decades of experience in health IT, including time as senior vice president and chief information and digital transformation officer at Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health and Yale Medicine. At Mount Sinai, she will lead the planning and implementation of a comprehensive enterprise digital ecosystem.
"Lisa's deep expertise in informatics and clinical and academic environments, in partnership with our amazing clinical, research and education leaders, will propel Mount Sinai to the cutting edge in digital innovation," said Brendan G. Carr, MD, CEO of Mount Sinai, in a news release.
Mount Sinai will also engage Ms. Stump to drive innovation and collaboration between the health system leaders and faculty, ensuring new technologies create value and systemwide growth. Ms. Stump's primary responsibilities will be the core IT and digital functions, cybersecurity and risk, data privacy and governance as well as data democratization and application portfolio management.
Ms. Stump will also help develop a five-year strategic direction for the health system and execute on the digital aspects of it. She has accountabilities for data analytics, digital experience, artificial intelligence and machine learning strategies as well.
