Los Angeles-based Providence Health & Services, Southern California has named Dale Surowitz as regional COO, according to a KHTS news report.
Mr. Surowitz will transition into the new position over the next few months, replacing regional COO Kerry Carmody, who announced his Nov. 1 retirement last month. Most recently, Mr. Surowitz served as CEO of Providence Tarzana (Calif.) Medical Center.
As regional COO, Mr. Surowitz will oversee operations at the five Providence medical centers in the Los Angeles area; Providence TrinityCare Hospice and Trinity KidsCare Hospice in Torrence, Calif.; and Providence's philanthropic foundations, according to the report.
