Charles Miller, CEO of Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C., is leaving to take on a new role at Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, Piedmont's parent company, according to The Herald.
Mr. Miller has served Piedmont for 14 years. In his new role, he will oversee hospital operations for Tenet hospitals in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Phil Shaw has been named as the interim CEO of Piedmont Medical. Mr. Shaw has more than 30 years of healthcare operations and finance experience. He most recently served as interim CEO at Tenet's East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
