Eric Bour, MD, has been appointed president of Greenville (S.C.) Hospital System University Medical Center's Simpsonville (S.C.) Medical Campus, according to a health system release.
The Simpsonville Medical Campus includes Hillcrest Memorial Hospital and its associated medical office building. Dr. Bour's presidential responsibilities are effective Oct. 1, though he will continue performing bariatric surgery at Hillcrest Memorial Hospital as he has been for the past 10 years. This is the first time a physician has held this type of leadership position within GHS.
