Elaine Thompson, PhD, president and CEO of Lakeland (Fla.) Regional Medical Center, will become the CEO of the new University of South Florida Health System.
Dr. Thompson will also serve as vice president of clinical operations of USF Health.
Lakeland Regional Medical Center is the inaugural member of the newly-formed USF Health System.
Dr. Thompson will still retain her position at LRMC.
