Tom Jackiewicz, president and CEO of UC San Diego Health System, will resign in December, according to a San Diego Union-Tribune report.
Mr. Jackiewicz joined UCSD Health as CFO in 2001 before being promoted to CEO in 2009. He is leaving the system to become senior vice president and CEO at University of Southern California Health.
Thomas McAfee, MD, dean for clinical affairs at UCSD Health, will serve as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is found.
