Anthony A. Scaduto, MD, has been named interim president and CEO of Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital, according to a hospital news release.
Dr. Scaduto will replace James V. Luck, Jr., MD, who has led the institution since 1989 and announced his plans to retire in 2010. Dr. Scaduto currently serves as medical director and The Charles LeRoy Lowman Professor of Pediatric Orthopaedics at Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital as well as chief of pediatric orthopedics at Santa Monica/UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital.
A search committee will remain active during this interim appointment and is expected to announce a permanent appointment within the next 6-8 months.
