The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology will be working with the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago to develop methods for creating an interoperable data infrastructure for patient-centered outcomes research, according to an EHR Intelligence report.
The ONC and NORC will also partner with the HHS' Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation for this purpose.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act provides an estimated $200 million through 2019 for creating an infrastructure for patient-centered outcomes research, and the agencies will be using these funds, according to the report.
