Kern Medical Center in California Loses 1,500 Patient Records

Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, Calif. has notified 1,500 patients of stolen medical records, according to a Bakersfield News report.

The patient records were stolen from a hospital resident physician's car. She had the records for research she was conducting.

The records contained patient names, health information, test results and possible insurance information but no addresses, Social Security numbers or financial information.
