Americans turned to Google with a wide range of health questions in 2024, a recent analysis found.
The healthcare staffing firm Soliant Health analyzed 2024 Google search data to identify the top-trending health queries both nationwide and by state. The firm ranked the top seven questions based on monthly search volume.
The findings reveal Americans' curiosity about infectious diseases, daily wellness practices and chronic conditions. The most popular query, "Is bronchitis contagious?" amassed 176,000 monthly searches. Questions related to blood pressure, lupus and daily water intake also made the top seven. Other widely discussed topics in 2024, such as mental health, weight management and women's health issues, were not among the top-trending searches.
