Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the company has tested and will soon release its own AI-based language model to researchers.
The model, dubbed LLaMA, will help scientists and engineers explore artificial intelligence applications, such as answering questions and summarizing documents, according to a Feb. 24 release from Meta.
In a Feb. 24 Facebook post, Mr. Zuckerberg said the language model could eventually help solve math problems or conduct scientific research.
Meta's move comes at a time when Big Tech companies such as Microsoft and Google are moving in to cash in on generative AI applications such as ChatGPT.
