Instacart, a grocery technology company, is partnering with Troy-based Molina Healthcare of Michigan.
The partnership will launch a program supporting 600 pregnant members by improving access to healthy food, according to a Nov. 19 news release. The program provides expectant mothers facing food insecurity with 18 months of free Instacart+ memberships and grocery stipends through Instacart Health Fresh Funds. These benefits allow participants to shop for groceries online and get free delivery.
This initiative, according to the news release, is part of Molina's broader effort to promote equity and support underserved communities across Michigan.
Instacart has also collaborated with leading healthcare organizations, including Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, Calif.; Boston Children's Hospital; and Mount Sinai Health System in New York City.
