Amazon has completed its $3.9 billion acquisition of virtual and in-person primary care company One Medical, the retailer said Feb. 22.
Three things to know:
- One Medical will offer annual memberships for the first year for $144 to new customers (regularly $199).
- The acquisition will give Amazon access to more than 200 brick-and-mortar physicians offices, along with roughly 815,000 One Medical members.
- Amazon will also have access to One Medical primary care clinics in 25 U.S. markets.
The announcement comes as the Federal Trade Commission was looking to investigate the deal.
