Companies that had a good week:
- Memora Health, a virtual care company, brought in former Cleveland Clinic CEO Toby Cosgrove, MD, and Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis Health CEO David Lubarsky as strategic advisers.
- Paytient, a healthcare technology payment company,raised $40.5 million in series B financing.
- Data company Arrive Health acquired pharmacy technology created at Pittsburgh-based UPMC.
Companies that had a bad week:
- Data analytics company Definitive Healthcare laid off 55 employees.
- Microsoft announced plans to lay off 10,000 workers, or about 5 percent of its workforce.
