Here are the hospitals and health systems that have hired C-suite leaders dedicated to AI:
- Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai named Mouneer Odeh as its inaugural chief data and artificial intelligence officer.
- Cleveland Clinic has named Ben Shahshahani, PhD, formerly with SiriusXM, as its first vice president and chief artificial intelligence officer.
- Richmond, Va.-based VCU Health has named Alok Chaudhary as its new vice president, chief data and artificial intelligence officer.
- Washington, D.C.-based Children's National Hospital has named Alda Mizaku as its new vice president and chief data and artificial intelligence officer.
- Mayo Clinic Arizona, based in Phoenix, named Bhavik Patel, MD, its new chief AI officer in September.
- UC Davis Health, based in Sacramento, Calif., hired Dennis Chornenky as its first chief artificial intelligence adviser in June.
- UC San Diego Health named Karandeep Singh, MD, as its inaugural chief health artificial intelligence officer in December.
- San Francisco-based UCSF Health named Sara Murray, MD, as its chief health AI officer.
