Seidman Cancer Center at University Hospitals Case Medical (Cleveland). This designated Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers is also the first hospital in Ohio to offer cancer patients proton therapy — a major advance in radiation treatment for many types of cancer. Seidman physicians serve more than 10,000 patients annually. The 120-bed cancer center was opened in 2011 and named for lifelong philanthropists Lee and Jane Seidman, who donated $42 million to University Hospitals in 2010.
