New York City-based NYU Langone Health is hiring more than 200 new representatives to work at its new patient access contact center in Boynton Beach, Fla., according to TV station CBS12.
The center opened Nov. 14. Employees there will help answer questions from patients about scheduling, medical procedure eligibility verification and other issues on behalf of medical practices, the health system said. Physicians will not provide treatment on site, but licensed nurses will be available to help patients.
The center will house 500 employees.
